The Lutino is a pretty common mutation.  They appear yellow or white, but always with a yellow face.  When they were first discovered in 1958 in Mr. Barreinger's aviaries in Florida.  Mr. Barreinger did not make a lot of progress until Mrs. Moon acquired some of his birds,  she was a well established breeder.  The Lutino was at a price of $750 to $1000 dollars a pair!  Until 1968.  At first they called the lutino an albino.  This was not true of coarse because an albino is all white with red eyes.  They later named it Lutino.
